The Yellow Key is an item found within Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze of Poppy Playtime.
This item is used to unlock the Power Room in the Lobby.
Appearance[]
The Yellow Key appears to be made of a gold- or brass-like material. The end of the key is in the shape of a triangle. The triangle matches the pattern on the door to the Power Room to indicate its corresponding door.
Obtainability[]
When The Player attempts to use their GrabPack to open the gate leading towards the Make-A-Friend Room, the power goes out, with electric sparks traveling along a cable into the locked Power Room.
The sound of the Yellow Key jingling can be heard and the key mysteriously appears, swinging around, in Huggy Wuggy's right hand. The Player must use their GrabPack to collect the Yellow Key and open the Power Room, acting as a small practice tutorial for the GrabPack.
Usage[]
After obtaining the key from Huggy Wuggy's hand, the Power Room door unlocks and becomes accessible to The Player.
Trivia[]
- The manner in which the GrabPack is utilized to collect the Yellow Key, is similar to that of a high-five.
- If The Player looks quick enough, they can see the Yellow Key frozen in mid air, before moving to jingle around in Huggy Wuggy's hand. The reasoning behind this is to use game physics and starting momentum from the key's originating position in order to create its waving motions.
- The Yellow Key is invisible the whole time and could even be grabbed, but not collected, before the key actually appears.
