| “ | Oh. Well, that's one less pension to worry about. Yeah, don't let these toys reach you if you can help it. Just smack 'em away, and, oh, just a fair warning - These guys get more agitated the longer you're here. Fall down here three times and you're dead. | ” |
| — Leith Pierre referring to the Wuggies, PROJECT: PLAYTIME | ||
The Wuggies[2] were versions of the Mini Huggies featured in PROJECT: PLAYTIME. They were starving experiments that would attempt to feed on players deposited into the Feeding Pit. To counter them, players had to employ strategies used to counter the Mini Huggies in Wack-a-Wuggy.
In Phase 3: Forsaken, the Feeding Pit and the Wuggies were removed from PROJECT: PLAYTIME.
Appearance[]
The Wuggies, much like the Mini Huggies in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web, were downscaled, multicolored versions of Huggy Wuggy, with the exception of the pink Wuggies, which were downscaled versions of Kissy Missy. However, unlike the Mini Huggies, which only came in four colors of fur, red, yellow, green, and blue, the Wuggies came in seven colors of fur, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink. Additionally, the Wuggies keep their mouths open, contrary to the Mini Huggies, who keep their mouths closed.
Gameplay[]
The Wuggies acted as an obstacle after being sent down the Feeding Pit by the Monster. When at least one Specialist fell down the Pit, the Wuggies were eligible to spawn. They would randomly spawn in the countless pipes sticking from the large, gated center of the sewer.
Like the Wack-a-Wuggy mini-game, the GrabPack was used to hit the small toys away. Failing to do so would result in a jumpscare, and being sent down the pit on three separate occasions would result in a guaranteed jumpscare regardless of any actions.
When playing as Huggy Wuggy, a blue variant can be placed down (appearance changes with skin) that acts as a living sentry, shrieking if any Specialists get too close.
Trivia[]
- The Wuggies, including the Feeding Pit, were removed in Phase 3 due to many complaints from the community about campers and intrusiveness.
- It's possible that Wuggies were eaten after the events of Project: Playtime because they were smaller than their larger counterparts.
- However, this could be disproven because Mini Huggies, Ruined Critters and Nightmare Critters are still around during the events of Poppy Playtime.
