Warrenbach Construction is a family-owned construction company that assisted Playtime Co. in building various locations within the factory, including Playcare, the Game Station, The Shelf, and The Labs. Under a contract, Warrenbach built what Playtime Co. asked without question, leaving them unaware of Playtime Co.'s nefarious intentions with said areas.
History[]
Backstory[]
Warrenbach Construction was founded in 1930 as a small, family-owned construction company.[5] It's most likely that the company was founded by Cyril Warrenbach, though this isn't confirmed. In 1972, Warrenbach, now owned by Darwin Silva, signed a contract to begin working with Playtime Co. to build their facilities; their first known construction was the Playcare orphanage.[6]
Main Activity[]
Warrenbach's contract with Playtime Co. was renewed in 1990, and they also asked them to construct a new facility: the Game Station.[6] Sometime in the 1990's, Playtime Co.'s Head of Research Eddie M. N. Ritterman reached out to Warrenbach, for the construction of a secret laboratory, promising $100,000 or more depending on how independently they could work. Eddie stated the project must only be disclosed to high-ranking construction workers at Warrenbach and employees at Playtime Co.[1]
Around 1993,[7] Darwin Silva questioned Playtime Co.'s need for a prison and asked for reassurance of its purpose but was shut down by Eddie, who reminded him of his signed contracts.[6] Warrenbach would go through with its construction and the nearby Safe Haven, with the latter project being led by Cyril Warrenbach and managed by Silva.[8] On March 18, 1994, Playtime Co. left a warning to Warrenbach employees working within the factory about the flammable properties of the Red Smoke.
