The Player receives an unexpected package that contains a letter and a VHS tape (which features a tampered version of the
Vintage Poppy Commercial from
Playtime Co. They think that it is a prank due to the fact that the company had shutdown a decade ago.
When The Player inserts the VHS tape into the VCR they own, they see a man walking from the darkness towards the camera.
The Player sees
Poppy for the first time in the commercial.
Poppy saying to The Player in the commercial, "I'm a real girl. Just like you."
The Player sees the
Main Entrance of the factory again in the commercial, as they start to remember it.
The Player first discovers the entrance of the
Poppy Room when the commercial abruptly cuts to it. They are confused of what they just saw.
The Player revisits the abandoned factory to search for the missing staff.
The Player listens to
Leith Pierre's warning, as they remember him after a long time.
The Player walks to the Gift Shop to find a code for the Security.
The Player discovers a toy train still active after a decade. They figure out the code from the train in the
Gift Shop.
The Player types the correct Security Room code.
The Player discovers a
GrabPack in the Security Room.
The Player watches the Yellow Mannequin teaching them how to use the GrabPack in the

As Huggy bursts through the vent door, the crate breaks the catwalks as both Huggy and The Player fall!

The Player walks across the catwalks of the Storage Bay. They eventually spot the graffiti of the Poppy flower in the distance that they saw from the commercial earlier.

The Player discovers a shrine in the Poppy Room as they traverse through a hallway.
The Player approaches the final door of the Poppy Room, as they prepare to open to see if there are any employees inside.
The Player is disappointed to find out that there are no employees in the room. They already know that the letter was a joke. However, they do discover a case containing a Poppy Playtime doll.
Without a second thought and hesitation, The Player decides to open the glass case with their GrabPack after they think that Poppy might be left to dust.
Upon opening the case, The Player sees Poppy waking up as the lights flicker before cutting out.
The Player loses consciousness, as they hear Poppy acknowledging them by saying: "You opened my case."
The Player wakes up and notices that Poppy is gone.
The Player sees that the entrance of the Poppy Room has been blocked.
The Player tries to find another way out of the Poppy Room.
The Player discovers that the factory is more larger than they expected.
The Player encounters Poppy in the Backrooms.
The Player follows Poppy.
The Player encounters Poppy again, before she is dragged by Mommy Long Legs down the pit.
