| Telephone |
The Telephone is an item found within Chapter 3: Deep Sleep of Poppy Playtime.
This item is used to communicate with Ollie. It originally debuted in PROJECT: PLAYTIME.
Appearance[]
The Telephone appears to have the same structure of any old house phone. It is coated in bright red and yellow. The earpiece on it has speaker holes placed in a special order to make a smile for the telephone and has a small blue antenna sticking out of it.
Usage[]
PROJECT: PLAYTIME[]
The Telephone is gifted to the person watching the VHS tapes and they can pick it up, but it can't be used anymore than that.
Chapter 3: Deep Sleep[]
The Telephone allows The Player to contact Ollie, a passive entity who guides them throughout the game, pointing out things that they may have not noticed on their first play-through and giving them key items. After The Player awakens from a dream sequence caused by CatNap's Red Smoke, CatNap is able to use the telephone to tell The Player to "LEAVE PLAYCARE, OR I AM COMING FOR YOU." But soon after, Ollie takes back control of the telephone and continues to use it to guide The Player throughout their journey until he reveals that he is actually The Prototype.
Trivia[]
- The Telephone is able to call Ollie, though it is not confirmed if The Player is able to call anyone else.
- It is known that CatNap can call The Player through it.
- The phone from Chapter 3: Deep Sleep originally debuted in the second phase of the multiplayer spin-off title, PROJECT: PLAYTIME, without a use.
- Originally, the person who would call you on the phone would not be Ollie, but an adult man named Ace. This was changed for the current version of the game.
