| — Scout, Chapter 4: Safe Haven | ||
Scout was a minor character seen in Chapter 4: Safe Haven. She served as the scout of the Safe Haven, hence her name. She was killed in the explosion that the Prototype caused to destroy Safe Haven.
Appearance[]
Scout appeared as a toy version of Boogie Bot, albeit modified with a green antenna and has green "eyes" instead of yellow. She sometimes held a remote, which could be used to control the defenses of the Safe Haven.
History[]
Backstory[]
At some point during or after the founding of Safe Haven as a place for toys seeking refuge, Scout became the location's lookout, controlling the Safe Haven's defenses.
Chapter 4: Safe Haven[]
When Poppy Playtime, a wounded Kissy Missy, and The Player arrived at Safe Haven, Scout unlocked and opened the gate, letting them in. Once they were safely inside, she re-locked the gate. Later, the Prototype moved the explosives The Player had set in the Foundation to Safe Haven, causing an explosion that killed the toys inside, including Scout.
Trivia[]
- The names of Scout and Medic, the other Boogie Bot seen in Chapter 4, could be a reference to the game Team Fortress 2.
- She is the first character to have an opposite gender to her experiment body, Boogie Bot, who is a male.
- This could mean that the small experiments were done with any child regardless of gender while the Bigger Bodies were done with specific children with the same gender as the mascot.
- Scout has an unused conversation in the files of Chapter 4 with a character named Izzy, the Bobby BearHug that Scout was standing in front of. The voice line can be found here, and it mentions a side quest that might have been given to The Player by Scout after the dialogue, which is to get Izzy a birthday cake. Like Doey the Doughman's book, where the cake would be located or where the ingredients would be located is currently unknown.
- Scout was written to be a 'big sister' character to the other toys in the Safe Haven.[2]
