The Red Hand is a GrabPack hand designed to scan devices that have the same shape as the hand. It made its first appearance in Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze, and then reappeared briefly in Chapter 4: Safe Haven before being upgraded to an Omni-Hand.
History[]
Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze[]
The Red Hand is initially found in the Storage and Supply, within a glass container. The Player retrieves it by powering up the room's crane and using it to drop the container on the floor, thereby shattering the glass and giving them the ability to pick it up.
Chapter 2: Fly in a Web[]
Prior to entering the Game Station, Mommy Long Legs rips off the Red Hand from The Player's GrabPack as they attempt to open a gate, which results in them having to replace it with a Green Hand.
Chapter 4: Safe Haven[]

A new Red Hand is found in the Shelf East Block on the Shelf Keeper's corpse, replacing The Player's missing Green Hand. It can be used for various hand scanners for higher-security areas, and it also contains a built-in flashlight. Following the defeat of The Doctor, the Player uses the Doctor's Omni-Chip to turn the Red Hand into the Omni-Hand.
