The Port-A-Lounge is a feature in Project: Playtime that gives Specialists the opportunity to hide from Monsters. By temporarily holding their breath, they can trick a Monster into believing they've escaped their grasp.
Usage[]
Initially meant as a cheap mental health retreat for employees; these lockers can be located throughout the four maps currently available in Project: Playtime. Walking towards one of the many lounges will give a prompt to enter it. After accepting this prompt, the Specialist will enter and be successfully hidden inside of the locker. While inside the locker, they gain the ability to hold their breath, allowing them to be completely silent while hiding. Not holding their breath will allow the Monster to faintly hear breathing if nearby.
Reliability for Specialists[]
Port-A-Lounges are primarily reliable for when a Specialist needs to lose a Monster. Specialists can swiftly hide in one before the Monster catches them, but they may get kicked out of the locker if the Monster suspects someone is inside. One of the drawbacks of hiding in a Port-a-Lounge is how long a Specialist can hold their breath, as the meter symbolizing this can easily run out while a Monster is in the area. Additionally, a player can be kicked from a match if they hide inside a locker for forty-five seconds.
Countering for Monsters[]
Luckily for Monsters, they can attack Port-A-Lounges, and if one sustains enough damage, it will burst open, revealing if a Specialist is hiding inside or not. If there is one, they will be downed instantly, meaning that Port-A-Lounges can seal a Specialist's fate if they're not careful. While Monsters cannot see inside Port-A-Lounges, they can listen for a Specialist's breathing if one is being occupied, or they can look and listen for the blaring alarm when one stays in a Port-A-Lounge for too long. Alongside this, the No Escape sabotage will force all Port-A-Lounges open, removing anyone inside. During this sabotage, Port-A-Lounges may not be entered.
