Poppy Playtime: Forever is a non-canon[1] spin-off to Poppy Playtime developed by Jazwares Game Studio and Mob Entertainment. It was released on Roblox on February 29, 2024.
Gameplay[]
Campaign[]
In the campaign for the game, you and your team of three other people break into the abandoned Playtime Co. Superstore.
Getting a blue keycard allows access to the entrance to the Superstore. It is then that you are introduced to the A.I., which seems thrilled to have new guests, and asks if we came here for the "tour." Your team decides that the A.I. is creepy so they decide to leave, but instead, the AI closes the door behind them, meaning there is only one way to go.
After collecting a couple of batteries, the door to the break room is able to be opened. This is the room where the player is introduced to the GrabPack, a core mechanic of this game as well as every other Poppy Playtime game.
After solving a small wire puzzle taken from Poppy Playtime, a large door opens, which lets everyone access the actual Superstore. Just then, the power shuts off, so the group goes out to try and find a way to restore power.
However, though unknown to everyone, there is a threat luring the halls of the Superstore. Huggy Wuggy, who, even after all these years, is still acting as the security of the factory.
The group now has to collect eight fuses while evading Huggy so they can open a door which leads to the warehouse. They now have to connect eight pipes together by the generator to try and see if that restores power, and then once they're done they have to pull the yellow levers, which eventually powers the lazers around the factory.
The players now have to solve a mirror puzzle (while still evading a fatal Huggy encounter) which eventually opens a door that allows them to access a red keycard to the manager's office upstairs. Once in the manager's office, you now have to collect three puzzle pieces so you can get the code to access the safe.
Once you open the safe, you get access to the security keycard, and now the objective is to find a way to turn off the AI.
It is revealed that the AI is directly in control of Huggy, which leads to a chase sequence with the giant blue plush. You end up having to go through a vent which, fortunately, leads right to the security room. After you manage to turn on the monitors, the AI starts appearing on all the monitors and you have to smack the monitors with your GrabPack hands.
Once you complete this tense section, a door opens, that contains the physical body of the AI running the Superstore.
The game abruptly ends.
Build Mode/Creation Suite[]
Build mode is part of the game that is unlocked after completing the story mode. This mode enables the player to build their own Playtime Co. location, as well as setting up puzzles, NPC nodes, and much more.
As of right now, build mode is very limited in some areas, but the developers have confirmed they have plans for build mode.
