| Poppy Area |
| “ | No one is meant to go in there. It's like a hallway in an ordinary family home. but it just goes on and on. It's basically Poppy's home. She's in there, inside a glass case. | ” |
| — P. W. referring to the Poppy Area, Orientation Notebook | ||
The Poppy Area is a location seen in Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze of Poppy Playtime.
This location is where Poppy Playtime is found trapped in her case.
Appearance[]
Entrance[]
At the end of the Catwalk Room, a giant Poppy flower is painted on the wall surrounded by multiple bloody, hanging toys. Specifically two Cat-Bees, two Brons and a Boogie Bot toy are hung and damaged outside the door. In the middle of the Poppy flower painting, there is a door surrounded by drawn messages warning NOT to go through the door. Nonetheless, to continue, the door must be entered.
Hallway to Poppy's Room[]
The interior of the Poppy Area is meant to represent a child's room, with a wooden staircase being seen when first entered. Going down the long staircase and the long hallway will introduce a room with wooden furniture and blue pillows laying down. There is also a door obstructed by a cabinet, which cannot be accessed at that moment. A large dollhouse can be seen in the corner of the room. Nearby is another hall that leads to Poppy's Room.
History[]
The Hour of Joy[]
During The Hour of Joy, several corpses of employees were left at the entrance to the Poppy Area, as well as in the Storage Bay.
Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze[]
The Poppy Area is first seen at the end of the Vintage Poppy Commercial when it cuts abruptly to a spliced-in footage of the exterior with the graffiti of the Poppy flower while The Player watches the tape at their home. Later, after The Player defeated Huggy Wuggy, they would enter the Poppy Area. A soft melody slowly came within earshot as they approached the room's end, where a door awaited them.
Upon opening the doors, The Player discovered a sparsely furnished shrine decorated with colorful pillows and dimly lit by pink lights. After walking through a hallway and opening the final door, The Player unfortunately found no employees, only to discover a Poppy Playtime doll seemingly resting inside a locked case. Without a second thought, The Player opens the case with their GrabPack. Upon opening the case, the lights briefly flicker before shorting out with The Player losing consciousness as well. Before drifting off, they hear Poppy acknowledging her release.
Chapter 2: Fly in a Web[]
The Player wakes up in the Poppy Area, they notice that Poppy Playtime fled from her case. However, when trying to exit the Poppy Area, The Player finds it blocked, prompting them to look for another way out. Eventually, they find a white door behind a closet and when they open it, The Player discovers that the factory is much larger than they expected. They then leave the Poppy Area and enter a large hallway to Elliot Ludwig's Office.
Trivia[]
- The walls in Poppy's room say "I'm a real girl. Just like you.", referencing the Vintage Poppy Commercial.
- This area strongly resembles Home Sweet Home, shown in Chapter 3: Deep Sleep.
- The music that plays within the Poppy Area seems to be what keeps Poppy from opening the case herself.
- This is reminiscent of a mechanic in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, where Jeremy must keep a music box wound up to stop the Marionette from attacking.
