Poppy was the daughter of Elliot Ludwig and the test subject of the living Poppy Playtime experiment who The Player teams up with during the events of Poppy Playtime. She was first revealed from documents found within the Fortnite collaboration.

Personality

Poppy is portrayed as a fun loving, intelligent little girl. She demonstrates a well developed internal dialogue alongside a high degree of self-confidence and pride in both what she likes and what her father has built. She refers to Elliot Ludwig with "father" instead of a more casual term, suggesting she is old-fashioned, or has simply been raised that way. Poppy is curious, easily excited by new toys or her father's future plans.

History

Poppy was born on March 7, 1949. During her infant years, Poppy received the very first Poppy Playtime doll created by Elliot Ludwig.

Little is known about her childhood. She went to school, but spent most of her time at the Playtime Co. toy factory.

Poppy would later be reanimated as a Poppy Playtime experiment.

Theorizing

• It's likely that Elliot Ludwig adopted Poppy, since she was born in 1949 and Molly Ludwig divorced Elliot 19 years beforehand. Though it is possible that Poppy was conceived from Elliot and another woman, there's no evidence to suggest that he ever got into another relationship.
• Judging from her diary, the language within and her behavior described, some have speculated that Poppy has a form of ASD.
• It's possible that the little girl who appears in Poppy's Promotional Image is Poppy when she was still human.
