P. W.[4] was a Playtime Co. employee who worked as a biologist. During his tenure, he exploited the cracks in the company's recording policy to uncover its dark secrets. He was revealed in the Orientation Notebook and lent his voice in the Orientation Notebook announcement trailer. His appearance and personality are currently unknown.
Personality[]
P. W. is shown to be inquisitive and when given the chance, sarcastic. In the Orientation Notebook, his notes indicate hateful behavior towards the executives and company. Despite that, his remorse presented for his "teammates" and his concern on the experimenting reveals another side of him and suggests guilt. One day, he considered pretending to be sick in order to not go and say hello to a group of orphans. He refers to Playtime Co. with various types of pronouns, deeming him ambivalent.
History[]
Backstory[]
On an unspecified date, P. W. was hired at Playtime Co., becoming a part of the Science Department as a biologist and having his main space of work be The Labs. He was rather confused at the fact that the the company needed a biologist supposedly for the production of solely toys.[5]
CatNap's Massacre[]
On November 20, 1990, Theodore Grambell's procedure to become CatNap was successful, and he was placed in a cell for an adjustment period. However the cell was locked improperly, which allowed CatNap to break out in his erratic state and hunt down and kill six employees before being subdued by security. P. W. filed the Incident Report, describing the aftermath "like a scene out of a horror movie". He noted for the higher-ups to create stricter safety protocols for experimentation, expressed the loss of lives to be wasteful, and suggested directly giving his ideas to upper management. P. W.'s report and note were rejected.[6]
Main Activity[]
At an unspecified time after 1993,[7] P. W. received Playtime Co.'s Orientation Notebook. After reading it, he taped in his notes and documents to reveal confidential information not said in the book, intending to release the truth.
P. W. made regular use of the Port-A-Lounges, explaining in a note, "One of them literally saved my life once...".[8] On May 16, 1995, he booked a full day in a Port-A-Lounge following a surgery.[1] On August 3, 1995, P. W. planned to quit Playtime Co. but was persuaded to stay.[9] On August 8, 1995, The Hour of Joy, P.W noted in his calendar that a new "Playcare Schedule" came in. It is unknown if these changes were contributed to by The Prototype during the meeting conjured on the 18th of July of the same year. [9]
After that, his calendar goes completely empty, implying he forgoed the book in lieu of possibly staying alive post-Hour. At some point, P. W. learned how Leith Pierre took to maintaining the factory during a time believed to be after The Hour of Joy, launching Specialist operations to recover toy parts scattered around the building. It is for this reason that most fans believe P. W. survived the event.[10]
