One year. is a video seen on Mob Entertainment's YouTube channel.

It is a celebration video made for Poppy Playtime's one year anniversary.

Analysis

The video starts with an in real-life illustration of the main mascots of Playtime Co. drawn on a whiteboard. The screen then cuts to Isaac Christopherson, who at the time, was the director of Poppy Playtime. He explains who he is, the joy of directing the game, and he thanks the entire community for the past year of the game. The screen then turns to all of the Mob employees thanking fans for the support, and it cuts to a screen of Huggy Wuggy standing in a shadow with the text "Thank you for 1 year of Poppy Playtime".

The screen then corrupts and starts glitching to small frames of purple static. The screen then cuts to the previous image, and the video ends.

Transcript: Isaac Christopherson: "Yeah, look at that!" Isaac Christopherson: "Hi, my name is Isaac. I directed Poppy Playtime chapters one and two. And one year ago today, Poppy Playtime Chapter One was released to the world." Isaac Christopherson: "And I wanted to say thank you, thank you, on behalf of everyone here." Isaac Christopherson: "With the game's success, we've been able to build this team of the most amazingly talented people I've ever met." Isaac Christopherson: "And it was hard, but thankfully, all our love and passion we put into these games paid off." Isaac Christopherson: "From the bottom of my heart, thank you. But lets- lets hear it from everyone else." Developers: "Thank you for one year of Poppy Playtime! We've got lots more on the way, so stay tuned! It will be a real hoot." Findings

Within the video, there are three non-ordinary features that can be seen. The first one is within the whiteboard artwork seen at the start of the video. Dozens of mascots from the famous Huggy Wuggy to Sir Poops-A-Lot are seen, although right under Huggy Wuggy's left foot, a Jack in the Box toy can be seen, who was later revealed to be Boxy Boo.

The second feature is within a clip during the end of the video, with both additional unique features coming from said clip. The first one is the three numbers that appear for a short amount of time. Going frame-by-frame reveals the numbers in the order "10.31.22", which represented the date of Halloween in 2022. Before this date, fans were theorizing what would happen, and what did end up happening was an announcement for PROJECT: PLAYTIME and the start of an ARG.

The third, most complex feature, is a shape that can be seen before the date, which is similar to that of a Jack in the Box. It is seen with a star in its center. Fans realized that this Jack in the Box was the same one shown on the whiteboard.

Trivia

• This, surprisingly, was not the first time fans got to see a tease of Boxy Boo.

  • On August 27, 2022, EnchantedMOB posted a Minecraft animation, making a "joke" video regarding ridiculous concepts and events that seemed impossible to be added to Chapter 3. In the video, one scene is shown in which it is "revealed" that Sir Poops-A-Lot is secretly the The Prototype. Although during this scene, a blue, colorful Jack in the Box can be seen in the background on the box.
• The video’s thumbnail was actually remade with the Prototype’s hand, a more broken looking floor, and the 1 being replaced with a 5 covered in gel, with this remake being used for the Chapter 5 Teaser Trailer’s thumbnail.
