The Omni-Hand, sometimes referred to as the Omni-Red Hand, is a GrabPack hand that grants access to anything in the Playtime Co. factory, serving as a master key. It was used by factory executives.
History[]
| “ | The Omni-Hand features 4 charges that can be used to activate specific receptacles throughout the factory | ” |
| — Omni-Hand tutorial, Chapter 4: Safe Haven | ||
Four Omni-Hands existed in the Playtime Co. factory by August 1995. Three were in the possession of Leith Pierre, Stella Greyber and Eddie M. N. Ritterman, respectively and were lost by 2005. The fourth hand was owned by the Prison's Warden and was given to Harley Sawyer in a deal for his survival.
Chapter 4: Safe Haven[]
Doey the Doughman tasks The Player with retrieving it, so as to fix the Safe Haven generator. Following The Player killing The Doctor, they take his Omni-Chip and uses it to transform their Red Hand into the Omni-Hand.
The Omni-Hand has a maximum of four 'charges' that the Player uses during the course, indicated by a light on the knuckle of each of the Hand's fingers. Once these are used, it can be assumed that the Omni-Hand's executive access is no longer available, however the Omni-Hand can still be used to open doors that require the Red Hand to access.
The Player uses the Omni-Hand to perform the following actions:
- To escape The Doctor's Headquarters.
- To fix the generator in the Safe Haven.
- To initiate the Gas Overflow Procedure in the Foundation.
- To access the Labs Entrance following the ambush by the Prototype.
