Elliot's Express is a location seen in Chapter 3: "Deep Sleep" of Poppy Playtime. It was a cable car used by orphans to travel to and from Playcare.

Appearance[]

The Elliot's Express can be accessed after doing a power puzzle in the Train Station. After going through the tripod gates and walking up the steps, The Player will arrive at the location. On the left and right of the cable car are two levers that must be pulled to activate it.

Approaching the Elliot's Express, above is a sign that says: "See the world through the eyes of a child on Elliot's Express". After passing through the sign entrance, there is a slider door cable car. Inside of the cable car are two cushion seats for passengers to sit while taking a ride to Playcare. There is also a TV screen that plays Elliot's announcement for Playcare. On top of the cable car is a label with the word "teleferic" spelled in cursive. There is also a cardboard cutout of KickinChicken and another of Boxy Boo near the entrance.

Gameplay[]

Upon boarding the cable car after turning it on, Elliot Ludwig begins his monologue on a TV, asking the viewer what they think the world needs more of. Elliot then says he believes it needs more smiles, saying that he loves making children smile, and believes he owes everything to children, as a large underground cavern with a big metal dome in it is revealed outside.

The cable car begins to approach the entrance of the dome, and after passing through it, The Player reaches Playcare. When the cable car is about to come to a stop, Elliot Ludwig ends his speech announcing Playcare, and asks the following rhetorical question: "For what gives life its meaning, if not a smile"?

Trivia[]

  • The word 'Teleferic' on the label on the cable car means 'Transportation telpher'.
  • The Playcare Introduction scene bears similar resemblance to that of the Nuka-World Monorail introductory sequence at the beginning of the Nuka-World add-on in Bethesda Game's Fallout 4, although whether or not this was intentional is unconfirmed.
