Doey Dough is a playdough toy created by Playtime Co.
The substance served as the basis for the Doey the Doughman mascot who would come decades later.
History[]
In the late 1950s, Playtime Co. released the Doey Dough toy and it skyrocketed in popularity, becoming the company's second commercial hit after Poppy Playtime. The toy was continually revamped for every decade, which led to the creation of the Doey the Doughman mascot sometime around the 1980s or 1990s. The toy’s initial price is unknown, but by the latter time period, two of them could be bought for $9.99 by calling a phone number shown in a commercial promoting the Doey the Doughman mascot.

Apart from being Playtime's second hit toy, Doey Dough is also the second known toy produced by Playtime Co. altogether.
