Daisy is a character who was meant to be featured as an antagonist in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web, before she was scrapped and replaced by Bunzo Bunny[6], though she still appears in posters around the game. Her name was confirmed on a plaque found in Elliot Ludwig's Office, and in the credits for Chapter 2.

Appearance[]

Daisy was a large, white flower with happy yellow features. The daisy represents Daisy's namesake and she has blue eyes and a benevolent smile. Her body resembles a stick bug or praying mantis, possessing leaves as her hands and feet. Her eye color appears to be realistic; similar to Poppy Playtime but gray instead of blue.

History[]

Backstory[]

In the Rejected Designs section of the Orientation Notebook, Daisy is given a page where it discusses how she was rejected for making children cry during testing. By the time this was discovered, she had already been promoted all around the factory through posters and some branding, so she couldn't be completely rejected like most of the other rejected toys, book stating that the company may try to revive her character some day.[7]

Chapter 2: Fly in a Web[]

Daisy's marionette form is mentioned in one of the Rejected Room pages as being rejected because she was too scary for children and would make them cry during her performances. But, like the Orange Robot Toy, her form is never seen in any of the Rejected Room pages and only ever left mentioned.

Trivia[]

  • In a post from Mob Entertainment's official X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Daisy's rejected marionette form is shown as a skin in the Reject Toy Bundle Pack.
  • As shown/said in the Chapter 2 trailer and a post from Zachary Preciado's Twitter, Daisy was originally going to be the main antagonist of Musical Memory instead of Bunzo Bunny.

    • Her rejection note is very likely a reference to how she went unused in the final game.
    • According to Micah: Daisy was replaced with Bunzo due to Bunzo's theming matching better with Musical Memory, and his cymbals acting as a tool to alert the player when Bunzo is descending further.
  • Although a rejected toy, Daisy's marionette form has her own trophy.
  • In the files of the game, her voice-lines are labeled 1, 2, 3, and 5, implying the existence of a lost voice-line, but this could be a typo.
  • In the trailer for Chapter 2, Daisy appears to have dotted black eyes (similar to Bunzo's); however, her official model has realistic gray eyeballs like Cassie Cutie-Pillar's.
  • Before Chapter 3 was released, fans theorized that Daisy was going to be the main antagonist of Chapter 3; however, this was disproven and the main antagonist of Chapter 3 was CatNap.
  • According to the Mob Entertainment CEO Zach Belanger, Daisy is a character that he hates. This could explain why Daisy never appears in the actual game outside of posters and a cardboard cutout in the Rejected Room.[8]
