The Containment Zone is a location seen in Chapter 4: Safe Haven of Poppy Playtime.
This location is where some experiments were kept isolated, being analyzed and likely interrogated by scientists. It is also where The Player first encounters Yarnaby.
Appearance[]
The Containment Zone entrance has two monitoring rooms, which contain work tables, computers, distribution boards, panels, and several surveillance televisions. It also has yellow gates and Blue and Red Hand Scanners. Between these two rooms, there is a large space with a gate that accesses the Containment Zone connected to two wires coming from the Hand Scanners. In front of this gate, there is a wire fence covered with countless debris. Between the entrance and the site itself, there is a small corridor with several pipes and some blue valves, containing a siren in the left corner.
The Containment Zone's interior has a large, open room with a pillar in its center, which holds various CCTV cameras. Surrounding the room are multiple observation areas numbered from 1 to 7 at their entrance, with glass walls to separate cells where experiments were kept. Inside these cells are colorful, padded walls like the ones seen in the Playhouse, and in one of them there was the Prisoner Profile, Experiment 1163 document.
Gameplay[]
Accessing[]
Upon descending from the vent shaft, The Player enters a narrow monitoring room containing a Blue Hand Scanner and a gate. Upon passing through it, they see a vast space, another monitoring room containing a Red Hand Scanner opposite the one they just passed, and a closed gate that provides access to the Containment Zone. To open it, The Player must scan both the Blue Hand and the Red Hand in the opposite rooms to gain access.
However, when one hand is inserted into a scanner in one monitoring room, the gate in the other room closes. To avoid this, The Player uses their GrabPack hands on the two boxes scattered around the place and takes them under the gate so as not to close them. Once this is done, they go to the two rooms sequentially and use both the Blue and Red Hands on the scanner and finally activate the gate, entering it immediately afterwards.
Progression[]
The Player enters a small corridor and immediately the entrance gate closes, with the siren sounding shortly after and steam coming out of one of the pipes, presumably for decontamination purposes. At the end of this, the gate to the Containment Zone opens and The Player enters.
Upon arriving in the area, The Player observes that of the seven cells, only three are open, numbered "3", "6", and "7". They then enter cell 3, where the door will close behind them and The Doctor will introduce Yarnaby. Although displaying a desire to kill, Yarnaby currently serves no threat to The Player since he is trapped behind glass. To move on, The Player opens a distribution board containing various Power Cell Sockets, one of which is holding a Power Cell. They move the battery into a different socket which activates a Blue Hand Scanner, allowing them to leave the room. However, they find themselves trapped, until Doey reaches his arm from the ceiling to unlock a gate allowing The Player to move on, with their new goal being to avoid detection from Yarnaby.

Trivia[]
At the Containment Zone entrance, there is a bug where The Player can climb over the rubble using the crates as a ladder, and by crossing them, it is possible to cross the game map.
