Claire Harper Debrief is one of the first VHS Tapes seen within Chapter 3: "Deep Sleep" of Poppy Playtime. The VHS Tape can be obtained in the Employee Lounge outside the Trash Compactor. The tape records a conversation between an unnamed female scientist and Claire Harper. During the tape, a Gas Mask can be seen.

The tape begins with an unnamed scientist asking Claire Harper, one of Playcare's counselors, to recount the incident involving Marie Payne, a girl under Harper's care (and who later became Mommy Long Legs). As the tape progresses, Harper's distress steadily rises when she recounts the girl's episode. She pleads for the scientist to let her speak to Marie, but her request is ultimately denied. Despite the scientist's assurances regarding the orphan's safety, Claire suffers a mental breakdown, yelling that she only wants Marie to be returned to her. The tape cuts off shortly thereafter.

Claire Harper: "Well, like any night, all the children are getting to sleep." "It was peaceful, quiet." "CatNap had the red smoke in the room." "Then, suddenly, there's this scream." "Nightmares happen, I know, but this..." "I mean, dilated pupils and quivering lips?" "The way her eyes darted around the room?" "And I swear, her hand in mine, it felt like her blood was boiling beneath her skin..." "She saw something too, something horrible! She-" "I-I'm sorry, I don't mean to..." Female Scientist: Ms. Harper, we'll provide the very best care we can offer, you have my word." "But this is important." "Did Marie happen to describe what she saw?" Claire Harper: "Yes, a monster she said, said it was...colorless..." "Gosh, I could feel her poor little heart pounding." "For her, it was right there!" "A-And her movements, they were wild! Arms flailing, legs kicking..." Female Scientist: "Hmmm..." Claire Harper: "I...I wanted to talk to her. See how she's doing." "I just... I really need to hear her voice right now." Female Scientist: "That would not be advised, Ms. Harper." "There are many concerns we must address at this time." "But vitals show normal, and we'll continue to monitor." "She'll be okay." Claire Harper: "NO! Well, pardon me if I'm not comforted by that!" "Just bring my little girl back to me..." |
