The Chapter 4 Teaser Trailer is a teaser trailer for Poppy Playtime's fourth chapter. It was uploaded onto Mob Entertainment's YouTube channel.

The trailer teased the fourth chapter by revealing one of the chapter’s previously unrevealed characters.

Analysis

The video begins in a dark room with boxes and a corpse of a Smiling Critters toy. A DogDay plush crawls in from the right side of the hallway. The camera changes to a view of more dead Smiling Critters toys on the ground as the DogDay plush continues off to somewhere. The camera changes to a close view of a decapitated Bobby BearHug plush as the DogDay plush approaches it. It looks around in caution before it eats from the corpse. Baba Chops, who had been lying on the right side of DogDay undetected - slowly emerges while he's distracted and lunges at him, swiftly killing the helpless plush. The camera zooms out to show huge piles of broken toys as Baba Chops turns to the camera. The screen goes dark, followed by "4" appearing on the screen and then "JANUARY". The video ends with the logo of Mob Entertainment.

A DogDay plush approaches a doorway.

DogDay continues his trek, approaching the bloody remains of toys littering the floor.

DogDay stops at a decapitated Bobby BearHug plush, glancing around warily before he begins to consume the corpse.

A black sheep plush lying next to DogDay undetected - wakes up and pounces on the plush.

Baba Chops ruthlessly slaughters the helpless plush as the camera pans out to reveal mountains of toy corpses.

Baba Chops slowly looks up to stare directly at the camera.

The Chapter 4 number appears as dust particles float to the right behind it.

The Chapter 4 release month is revealed: January.

The Mob Entertainment logo appears.

Trivia

• Upon the initial release of the trailer, fans expressed their outrage towards Mob Entertainment regarding Baba Chops's striking resemblance to the Smiling Critters. They also weren't happy with Baba's size, as the main antagonists were always larger than The Player. This incited concerns among fans who believed that Mob Entertainment was recycling the SC designs with slight variations.
  • However, the developers would soon clarify the issue, stating that neither Baba Chops, nor the subsequent Nightmare Critters, would be the main antagonist of Chapter 4.
    • Baba was merely a placeholder until further development on Chapter 4 was completed, like how the Gas Mask was the placeholder for Chapter 3: Deep Sleep.
• According to the developers, this trailer was made from an early build of Chapter 4 and was never intended to be a final reflection of the game's appearance.
