The Chapter 3 Teaser Trailer #2 is a second teaser trailer for Poppy Playtime's third chapter. This video cannot be played or seen in any location inside the game. It is exclusively seen on Mob Entertainment's YouTube channel.

The video teases the upcoming third chapter by continuing to tease the Playcare attraction with CatNap as the main threat of the area.

Analysis

The video starts with the Train from the end of Chapter 2, which crashed near a doorway that leads to Playcare. The camera then cuts to a room akin to a house, where a headless Huggy Wuggy toy is seen lying on the ground in a pool of blood. (Strangely, there are deep scratch marks next to the carcass.) The scene changes to a black and white photo of an unknown child, then cuts to a drawing of a purple monster, with the ground and walls covered in scratches at that point. Writing on the walls appears, which state "The original saved me, I rejoice in him," and "I live to serve our angel of salvation." The camera cuts again to the severed head of the Huggy toy, dripping blood. From there, the sounds of children crying and screaming can be heard in the background as the camera then shows a terrifying shadow of a toy amalgamation. The final shot shows a ton of writing on a wall, including the sentence "Never forget the Hour of Joy", with a purple feline-like hand scratching it. As the camera focuses on the monster, he begins to spew red mist from his mouth before jumpscaring the screen. Then a gas-red background appears with text reading "Chapter 3: Deep Sleep", and this text is later replaced with "Winter 2023". The MOB logo is shown, and the teaser ends.

Theorizing

• It's speculated the toy amalgamation seen in the teaser is The Prototype, who has been theorized to be grafting the body parts of dead toys to himself to keep them alive.
  • This was later revealed to be the shrine made by CatNap.
• It's likely that the red mist seen emanating from CatNap is Poppy Gas, which is speculated to have been exposed to the children at Playcare to turn them into living toys.
• It is possible that there could be some kind of cult as there is writing saying "Followers of the Path" and "I Lived to serve the Angel of Salvation". There are several candles and a decapitated head of Huggy Wuggy on a spear, representing a ritual.
  • This was later somewhat confirmed by DogDay, describing CatNap's veneration of The Prototype, and his calling those who resisted him heretics.
  • However, the cult practices alluded to ingame didn't appear to go to the extent seen in the teaser trailer, extending only as far as mere worship of the "deity", and the subjugation of a group.
