Appearance[]
The Broken Gas Mask is an eerie red gas mask with large eye holes shadowed in black. It has two yellow blood-covered air filters, within both of which the Playtime Co. logo can be seen. It has a dark blue exhalation valve and has two straps attached to the back.
Gameplay[]
The Broken Gas Mask can be found in the Secondary Lab and it requires temporary air filters to allow The Player to breathe. It ends up being torn off by a Touille toy and it falls to the ground.
Trivia[]
- During the 1900s, gas masks were painted red so that they would appear less frightening to children.
- Walt Disney also made gas masks that resembled Mickey Mouse to try to make them less scary.
- The real life counterpart to this mask is an Avon CT12, a modified version of the FM12, and part of the S10 family of gas masks. These masks were in the mainstay respirator of the British forces between 1987 and 2012.
