Poppy Playtime Wiki

10 LOST SECRETS in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 is a documentary that cannot be played or even seen in any area inside the game. It is exclusively seen on Mob Entertainment's YouTube channel.

The documentary features our narrator, Micah Preciado, who unveils previously unused content that was scrapped for Chapter 2: "Fly in a Web" and the reasons why.

List of Scrapped Content[]

Number 1: Alternate Opening[]

The game originally started with The Player chasing Poppy Playtime down various hallways and doing a 10-minute parkour sequence across catwalks where Huggy Wuggy fell from during the first chapter, before arriving at the puzzle before meeting the new enemy, Mommy Long Legs. The chase sequence was scrapped because of the feeling that chasing Poppy was too funny. The sequence went through three iterations before sticking to Poppy's shadow being seen as the player chases her. However, the whole thing was scrapped and redone because the creators felt that the parkour sequence was unnecessary.

Number 2: Mommy's Long Legs' Alternate Intro[]

The intro sequence for Mommy Long Legs was considered one of the hardest things to get right and went through three iterations before settling on the final version. The first one was scrapped due to Mommy Long Legs not influencing The Player's objective and because she didn't have prior build-up at that time. The second iteration was similar but had Mommy Long Legs take Poppy, holding her hostage. But this was also scrapped as the team realized that they didn't need Poppy at that time, still not influencing The Player's objective. In the final version, they made Poppy know the Train Codes to the Train from the Game Station to escape and gave Mommy Long Legs prior build-up.

Number 3: Alternate Game Station Designs[]

During development, the Game Station went through two different designs that you can see here. The first designs were scrapped due to the room not only being too big, but also because it didn't look like a place kids would play in. The second one was similar, however, this time the room was way too empty. They fixed this issue by simply shrinking the room and making play areas for kids while they wait.

Number 4: Musical Memory’s Lost Design[]

The Musical Memory room used to have a much different design, with the wall was completely covered in TV screens and the buttons suspended by big mechanical arms. It was scrapped due to the aesthetic being too high-tech for Playtime Co. and the room feeling more like a spaceship than a toy factory, as well as deciding to have an area where Mommy Long Legs could watch The Player.

Number 5: Cassie Cutie-Pillar[]

Cassie Cutie-Pillar was the original antagonist who would've chased The Player in the Statues minigame before being replaced with PJ Pug-a-Pillar. She was scrapped because the developers wanted the character to be more unique by creating a combination of two different animals. Cassie's appearance in Statues is shown in the Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 Official Trailer.

Number 6: Daisy the Flower + 7 other characters[]

Also shown in the Chapter 2 trailer, Daisy would've lowered toward The Player instead of Bunzo Bunny in Musical Memory. The developers wanted a better-themed character that alerted The Player of upcoming death. Nine different characters were designed: a monkey, a clown, a fox, a princess, a blue bird, a yellow bird, a ballerina, a ballerina bird, and a bunny - Bunzo, who the developers settled on for his clothes and cymbals. Daisy remained in the chapter in art, posters, and a cardboard cutout.

Number 7: Mommy Long Legs's alternate designs[]

There were lots of designs of Mommy Long Legs. The first design was scrapped for being too young to be called "Mommy" and that it wasn't unique enough. The second one was scrapped because it was too creepy and not realistic for Playtime Co. and also because she didn't look like a toy and more like a real mom. The third design was scrapped because of the challenge to make her limbs bend while also made for extending plastic tubes. The current version idea went through few alternate designs but was also scrapped because it had too many spider-like features and made her too creepy.
